Delhi MCD Election

Delhi is the capital city of India from the time when Mughal’s ruled India, it also has the status of a state due to its population. Being the capital region of the country, elections have been very important and have played a prominent role in highlighting the major issues for the development of the country. The city was under President’s rule since 14th February 2014, when AAP leader and then newly elected Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal resigned from the post. In the same year he demanded re-elections in Delhi just for a second chance.

It is like dream come true for AAP as the Assembly Elections turned out to be a big surprise with victory of the AAP, it has brought in a new party to the country that has now national aspirations and is rapidly inducting people and personalities into the party to make a difference than the parliamentary elections 2014. Delhi has shown the way of options and it remains to be seen the urban India, if not the whole of India, decides to use the politics of options.

In Delhi, there are seven constituencies and three major parties contested Lok Sabha Elections in 2014. The parties Indian National Congress, BJP and Aam Adami Party besides few other small parties, which did not had much voter base, were more insignificant. But this win is not just enough; the AAP will be again watched in upcoming Assembly Elections in Bihar in the month of November 2015.

Delhi Assembly Election 2015
