Chhattisgarh General Election 2014
Chhatisgarh has eleven parliamentary constituencies. This state is politically dominated by the BJP but the Congress has a competitive voter base. The Aam Admi Party is new entrant and they are very much unpredictable. The major competition will be among only these three parties in the coming Lok Sabha elections.
Among the 11 Lok Sabha Constituencies in Chhattisgarh, four are reserved for the schedule tribes and one for scheduled caste. Surguja, Raigarh, Bastar and Kanker are reserved for the scheduled tribe. The constituency that is reserved for the Schedule Caste is Janjgir-Champa.
In the opinion Polls 2014, the BJP is predicted to stay in the lead. Out of the 11 seats, it is likely to win eight seats while the Congress is expected to win three seats. But as per the NDTV Poll, out of 11 seats in Chhattisgarh NDA is headed to get about 9 seats and the UPA will get only 2.
