Kerala General Election 2014

There are twenty Lok Sabha constituencies in Kerala. Here Alathur and Mavelikkara are reserved constituency for the Schedule Castes. There are 2,37,92,270 voters in Kerala, among which 1,14,42,925 are male and 1,23,49,345 are female. One of the notable facts about voters in Kerala is the massive numbers of NRI electors. About 97% of the total number of NRIs who enrolled for the 2014 general election are from Kerala itself, making the number 11,488. The general election of 2014 in Kerala will be held on 10 April 2014.

The Indian general election, 2009 polls in Kerala were held for 20 seats in the state. The UDF won 16 Seats, LDF won 4 Seats.

Opinion poll conducted by the Times Now-CVoter in February says that the LDF will win 9 seats, the INC 7, the IUML 2, the Kerala Congress 1, and the BJP 1 seat. As per the CNN IBN7 & CSDS January 2014 opinion poll, the UDF will win 12 to 18 seats while the LDF will win 2 to 8 seats.
