Punjab General Election 2014
There are thirteen Lok Sabha constituencies in Punjab. Among them four constituencies are reserved for the Schedule Caste. They are Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Fatehgarh Sahib and Faridkot. The total number of electorates in Punjab is 19,207,230 of which 10,112,897 are male voters and 9,094,333 are female.
The general elections in Punjab will be conducted in 7th Phase and the polling date is 30 April 2014.
According to the opinion poll conducted by India TV Akali Dal will win 7 seats, Congress will bag 4 seats, and the BJP will win only 2 seats.
Headlines Today-CVoter opinion poll gives 6 seats to Congress 2 to the BJP and Akali Dal 5 seats.
