Rajasthan General Election 2014
There are twenty-five Lok Sabha constituencies in Rajasthan. There are four constituencies reserved for the Schedule castes and three for the Schedule Tribes.
The constituencies reserved for SCs are; Ganganagar, Bayana, Tonk and Jalore. The reserved constituency for STs are; Sawai Madhopur , Banswara and Salumber.
The total number of electorates in Rajasthan is 42,559,543 of which 22,406,058 are male voters and 20,153,464 are female voters.
Election in Rajasthan will be held in two phases: 17 April 2014 and 24 April 2014. Voting for 20 seats will be done in the first phase, while the remaining five will be covered in the next.
In a recent survey by IBN 7 & CSDS, the BJP is predicted to win 20-24 seats, while India TV survey predicts the party may win 19 seats.
Headlines Today too predicted a result favorable to the BJP.
The CNN-IBN predicted that both the INC and the BJP will win 10-14 seats each.
Out of 25 seats in Rajasthan NDA is headed to get about 19 seats and the UPA will get only 5. That is as per the NDTV Poll.
