Sikkim General Election 2014

The state has only one Lok Sabha constituency in Sikkim. The total number of electorates in Sikkim is 362,326of which 186,826 are male votes and 175,500 female voters.

The Indian National Congres, the Bharatiya Janata party, the Communist Party of India (M), the Nationalist Congress Party, he Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF), Sikkim Gorkha Prajatantric Party, Sikkim Himali Rajya Parishad Party and Sikkim Jan-Ekta Party are some of the political parties in Sikkim.

The currently Lok Sabha seat is held by the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF). According to the opinion polls conducted by India TV, the SDF is likely to regain the lone seat in Sikkim.

The election in Sikkim will be held on 12 April 2014.
