Arvind Kejriwal is an IITan and an IRS Officer, who resigned his job to join Anna Hazare's anti-corruption movement. Later he had differences over strategy, and he committed to the political route. He formed the Aam Aadmi Party on November 2012 and in just about a year's time he became the Chief Minister of Delhi. Kejriwal's Aam Admi party bagged 28 of the 70 seats and with Congress support went on to form the government on December 25, 2013. However, differences arose with the Congress over the issue of governance and Kejriwal had to resign after being as Delhi Chief Minister just for 49 days.

Kejriwal holds constitutional views about Indian politics. He is of the opinion that politically nothing has changed in India since its independence. The enslavement of common Indian continues by political elite that has replaced the oppressive foreign rule.

Kejriwal claims that the common man remains unheard and unseen except when it suits the politicians. Kejriwal wants to uphold the spirit of the constitution in the governance of the country. He wants to fulfill the preamble of the constitution of India that enshrines equality and justice to all the people of the country.

Kejriwal wants to reverse the way that the government operates and believes that through swaraj the government will be directly accountable to the people instead of higher officials. He likes to implement the Gandhian concept of swaraj that lays emphasis on self governance, community building and decentralization.

Kejriwal does not want to get caught in capitalist or socialist ideologies and says that he is in politics to provide solutions to the problem of common man. He said if the solutions are in the left or right ideologies, he may not mind taking it from any of them. His main political agenda are; Jan Lokpal legislation, Right to Reject, Right to Recall and political decentralization.
