   Haryana Janhit Congress History

Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) is a regional political party in the state of Haryana, India. Party has dominance in Haryana. Party leaders were intended to proactively bridge socio-economic gaps and addresses major issues faced by people of Haryana. Political symbol of this party is tractor.

Haryana Janhit Congress was formed after separating from the Indian National Congress (INC) party by previous INC leader and former Haryana Chief Minister, Bhajan Lal, in 2007. Indian National Congress got huge success in Haryana's 2005 assembly elections that created major gap in its state unit, as it opted to make Bhupinder Hooda, a leader of the Jat caste, the Chief Minister instead of Bhajan Lal. At initial stage he remained silent but departed from the party in March 2007 and officially declared to form new party. The major ground for such political development was the deferral of his son Kuldeep Bishnoi from the Indian National Congress, for criticizing the party's central leaders. In August 2009, party united with Bahujan Samaj Party but the alliance could not be successful. Afterwards, party also had alliance with BJP but could not achieve something. Ultimately, Haryana Janhit Congress contested election at its own capacity. In 2009 vidhan sabha elections, party won six seats. But most awkward situation of the party was the defeat of Jasma Devi, mother of party cheif by Prof Sampat Singh from Nalwa constituency, a pocket borough of Bhajan Lal tribe for last 40 years. In 2011, party joined NDA to contest the Hisar Lok Sabha by-polls and forthcoming General Elections and Assembly polls in 2014.

Present leader is Kuldeep Bishnoi. The people of Haryana have the immense trust and loyalty upon Kuldeep Bishnoi. This was obvious with the initiation of the Haryana Janhit Congress (BL) Party during the momentous rally held in Rohtak. This political procession of party can be considered as significant as it is the only regional party in India that was established by the people of Haryana that logically thinks for the welfare of people.

Haryana Janhit Congress (BL) Party has tactically divided its administration into different cells that would organize to fulfil the requirement of every section of society. These are the Women Brigade, the Janhit Student Brigade, and the Youth Brigade cells. Each cell is allocated detailed responsibilities to make certain that the daily social improvement agendas are successfully implemented under the leadership and directives of Kuldeep Bishnoi.

Haryana Janhit Congress Party promulgates the economic empowerment of women and gender impartiality and to support this, the HJC Women Brigade organized a campaign to struggle against atrocities and crimes faced by women in general. The Party also asserts that Haryana can develop speedily when there is proper education and knowledge. Elementary education is perhaps one of the main concerns faced by the major Indian public and hereafter, the Haryana Janhit Congress (BL) Party has focused on this issue and added in primary agenda to organize campaigns to spread the need for free primary education. Furthermore, the party had organized numerous outdoor events to generate wakefulness about their political beliefs.

Haryana Janhit Congress (BL) Party is committed to commence social reform agendas and suggest strategies that can assuage the dilemma faced by the farmers, the youth, women, and labourers within the constituent. Party is fully aware of the issues and intricate situation faced by farmers and women therefore party assigned responsibilities to members for the development and welfare of their constituency.
