Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik)

The Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) is a regional political party in the state of Jharkhand, India.

The party was established by previous Jharkhand chief minister Babulal Marandi on 24 September, 2006.

The name of the party roughly translates to 'Jharkhand Progress Front (Democratic). Marandi was also former member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, but he relinquished in mid-2006 as he felt that he was being ignored by party on his political movement. .....

About Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik)

   Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) History

The Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) is a regional political party in the state of Jharkhand, India. The party was established by previous Jharkhand chief minister Babulal Marandi on 24 September, 2006. The name of the party roughly translates to 'Jharkhand Progress Front (Democratic). Marandi was also former member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, but he relinquished in mid-2006 as he felt that he was being ignored by party on his political movement. Presently, this party is one of the most famous parties in Jharkhand. Party symbol is comb as approved by election commission.

Party leaders:

Babulal Marandi is party chief. Dr. Ajay Kumar who won the June 2011 Jamshedpur parliamentary by-election won by a huge margin on Jharkhand Vikas Morcha ticket. Dr. Ajay Kumar is an IPS officer who also is a doctor, holds an MBA degree, and currently CEO of Max group. He has good image in public and he is an honest, and trustworthy person among Jamshedpur people after he freed the city from control of mafias and criminals during his period as an SP of Jamshedpur in the beginning of 1990.

The mission of the party is to build the state of Jharkhand as strong through all-round development of strata of society and offering transparent, progressive and good governance. Party addresses on institutional gaps by enhancing the performance of government institutions. Its goal is to improve access to infrastructure such as irrigation, roads, power and telecommunications. Party is committed to develop rural opportunities and enhance household and tribal section of society to get benefit of such opportunities. The Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) also works for peaceful resolution of internal security issues that are erupting in the state. On the displacement issue, Marandi strongly supported for rehabilitation policy for the displaced families in case their land was acquired for development projects.

For Lok sabha election'2014, Party chief announced that JVM-P will emerge as the Largest Party in 2014 as well as Assembly elections in Jharkhand. Babulal Marandi promised to provide steady and good governance in the state.
